Factoring, also known as accounts receivable financing is a method many businesses use to acquire capital. When a business utilizes factoring they sell their accounts receivable to a factoring company. Factoring differs from a traditional bank loan in that businesses receive capital based off of the credit worthiness of their customers (the receivable).
